Toots and The Maytals 29th July 2007

Well again another great night has been and passed. I did say in the advanced promoting Toots would be bringing the sun with him! The atmosphere was buzzing as you would expect it to be listening to the great man and the Maytals in Bournemouth/Poole again for the second year.

The show I had orginally set up had been cancelled which was a real shame. It was a bit of a flip of the coin decision with such short notice but taking the show to Mr Kyps with only a month to promote was the best one to make. I can assure everybody that was there, If it hadn't of been for Kyp and his team's hard work, Toots would have been on a flight/boat that night.

I managed to nip a few songs in as support. Listening to the recording of that slot I definately needed a good kick up the arse before I had got on stage that time! In my defence it can be a bit of a mind f==k running about all day and then singing on a 'used mind/body/voice'. I am going to sit out of some of the next few Ska nights promoted in Bournemouth just so I can enjoy the music to the max.

Skaville UK with be playing @ Mr Kyps on the 6th October 07. This will be another night not to be missed. There new CD '1973' is an excellent up to date skanking Album. I have been playing many tunes from it at my Ska nights.
