Great Night Great Venue SOUL ON THE SEA in the all new West Quay Restaurant can only get better and better. The evening was slow to start but seriously followed through as the 70 advanced tickets started to arrive and the 45 telephone reservations until 9.30pm all turned up and paid the advance price, a walk up of another 50 people was also a major bonus. By 11pm the dance floor was 'solid' and a wicked atmosphere was created. Many attendees were 'Regular Soul shufflers' from various parts of the south and there was a good attendance from the local Renegade Scooter Club supporting one of their own. All seemed impressed with the smart appearance and location and vowed to return.

The best thing about the evening was that word had got out to guys who wouldn't normally go to a 'soul night' a crowd SOS has been entertaining around the pubs for years. Many discussions during the course of the evening made it obvious these guys are bored with what Bournemouth has (not) to offer. A 'void' SOS has always been looking to fill, Keen 20 +'s, Bored 30+'s, 40 50 and 60's looking for something new to do in a 'respectful' environment just like the old days!!! Many Thanks to all the DJ's Steve Lyons invaluable exp, Dave Chown, Moldie, Chris Thorley and Bearsy all making a great contribution. Some great photo's were taken of the event but un-fortunately the camera 'disappeared' with several other items after the night had finished so nothing can be put on the site. There were a few complaints about the 'door' price of £9 but a good advanced ticket price was arranged for everyone to purchase at least 3 months before. In future give me a ring and I'll 'reserve' a spot for advanced tickets as well as the outlets.

The next Soul On The Sea will be on the 12th July Steve Lyons + Special Guests
